BBB Helmets?

Anyone had a BBB helmet, or know if they're any good?

Can't speak about helmets, but the build quality of their sunglasses is shite. broke the first time i used them.

Only worthwhile for an upmarket helmet of course.

I don't have a BB helmet, but everything I've got from them so far has been of comparable quality to the premium manufacturers for a fraction of the price. The lads in Raw have a full BBB catalogue if you're looking to try them in person.

Really? I thought you had a dark matte grey BBB helmet as well as your flux...

That's a Giro. I doubt if I'll buy Giro again until the quality of the helmets they make starts to correlate with the prices they charge. POC are looking quite interesting for some of their products - they use expanded polypropylene rather than polystyrene, so the helmet's ability to absorb impact on a second crash is not degraded massively like with polystyrene (Based on their claims anyway, I have no idea whether this is scientifically verified or whether they're really saying that less impact is absorbed in all crashes by the polypropylene). It does suggest that they're paying more attention to the market segment that crashes regularly ... I'm not sure they do anything other than DH/Dirtjump style helmets though. I like the idea they have of making the internal parts turn relative to the helmet shell to reduce the torque applied to the brain in a sliding crash and the kevlar anti puncture layers in their helmets too...

It would get pretty hot compared to what I usually use for XC riding. If they do a more ventilated version (Or stick a visor on their road helmet and knock €100 off the price) I'll be interested though...

Anyway I got that BBB helmet today, it appears fine quality and comfort wise although I have yet to sweat profusely into it or smash my head off anything so I cannot give a full review.
