Ready to Roll

Postby PeevySteve » 28 Sep 2014, 00:17

Hi,
Sorry for the silly questions, i know every piece of info is more than likely available on goggle.

First year mature student looking to get into mtb'ing as a hobby. Quick few questions for you guys: What equipment should i purchase, elbow knee pads and helmet are a must i know, is there anything else, lights etc etc? How many meets per week do you guys have?

Currently riding a KTM Ultra 1964 27.5 LTD, reason i did not appear at the recruitment drive was the fact i had my old Giant XTC stolen and did not know when i would be riding again, but a good old student loan sorted that out, just dont tell the bank, as far as they know i bought a 1000 yo yo laptop :D   .

Regards,
Stephen

Hey Stephen,
If you intend on getting into mountain biking seriously, then the gear you mentioned there is perfect. However if you would like to try out the hobby first before investing a lot of money into it, then our club has bikes, helmets and (limited) lights for use by club members every week.
We meet 2 times a week for cycles, Sunday and Wednesday. All cycles are organized in this forum under Cycles funnily enough
:D

It needs to be about 20% cooler.
