This bloke said to me; “You haven’t got a clue,
About the damage that Soap Bar can do to you”,
I tried to see things from his point of view,
But I couldn’t fit my head up his asshole too,

Some very nice riding - be warned though, he doesn't get around to riding his bike - or even putting his helmet on till 1:20 in, but from there on it's very classy indeed: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ud5T5I4XcA&app=desktop

The sideways slide at ~2:00 is nuts. Reckon I'm with you about Danny Mac. Ali C is just that bit smoother at everything he does

If this is done right it's probably the most important thing to happen to disposable battery power since disposable battery sizes were standardised: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/batt ... ain#/story

Excellent comment from somebody on Hackaday:

I noticed when I drank some beer yesterday after I had finished the beer 80 percent of the glass was still wet. So most of the beer must still be there. I think beer companies and venues are ripping us off. But I know better. I use the slurp-o-matic. By slurping into your beer glass you can recover this 80 percent of beer. You can verify this by measuring the height of the whetted part of the glass from the table. I mean I started with 6 inches of beer and even though no beer was coming out, I know there’s still around 5 inches of beer based on my measurement.

I thought it was a really nice way of explaining the difference between voltage and power to the layperson.

I have 5 other tabs open trying to make sense of this, mostly due to my shocking (ba dum tis) understanding of electronics, but I think I agree. The beer left on the glass is the voltage still at 80% and what you've already drunk is the power that's flowed out, correct? Or am is my understanding below that of even the layperson?

Exactly correct :) Pity more people aren't as motivated...

...because as a product, I believe it to be a thin sliver of excrement. I mean, it might make a useful difference in very low-power applications (TV remotes and the like... but at the risk of causing leaks due to over-discharge) but it's mostly just a more efficient way of hoovering up the crumbs after the biscuit is already eaten...

It did have one use though: It gave our aircraft-battery team a laugh :-)

For Joe - voltage is the difference in charge between two points. The bigger the voltage is the more strongly the electrons want to move to equalise the charge between the points. Voltage doesn't say anything about how many electrons (The current) need to be transferred in order to equalise the potential, just how strongly they want to move.

To do lots of work (Or create lots of power) you need to have lots of electrons moving between a high and a low voltage position as each electron that moves does work.

The other way to look at it is the liquid analogy for voltage and current. Voltage is equivalent to pressure (or height of the liquid) for liquid flow, while flow rate is equivalent to current. So for the empty beer glass, the liquid stuck to the walls is still at the same height as it was when the glass was full, so the potential energy is the same, but the work it can do is proportional the the mass of water available at that pressure, which is negligible compared to the mass in the full glass.

The power (Energy per second) from a fluid is the pressure times the volume flow rate in the same way as electrical power is voltage times current.
