BB washers.

Got a new shimano hollowetech bottom bracket and it came with 2 washers external diameter about 20mm and internal about 15, what are they for does anyone know?

You didn't get a BB30 press fit one or something? The standard threaded version has 3 2.5 mm thick washers with it, which are a little over 1.37" in inside diameter... Stick up a photo of the parts you got...

No its standard threaded.
It came with DS and non DS cup including the black tunnell. and also has 3 spacers to fit the bb to the frame 68/73mm. and it came with two small other washers about 1mm thick in the same bag as the 3 spacers.
My measurements aint exact just a guess im not at home so will put up pictures in the morning.

They wouldn't be to protect the crank arms from being chewed by the pedal axles as they're tightened to the crank by any chance?

That's extremely possible I bought them together the cranks and bb so I'll check that in the morning and let you know!!

They're for spacing 68mm BB shells up to 72mm. Measure your frame to find out if you need them; look in the instructions to see where they go.

No they're not the spacers I know that much, checked it now it looks like they're the pedal washers as cormac suggested.
